Doing a remote start install on an 09 Lincoln MKX and have run into two issues.
First, the auto light shutdown, in my diagram I have a wire labelled auto light shutdown, and the diagram I am looking at says it needs to be interrupted in order to stop the lights from staying on so that when the remote start is shut down the auto lights will turn off.
Is there anyone that can either a. help me wire a relay to interrupt this wire with pin out (30, 85, 86, 87, 87a) or tell me another way of doing this (possibly the re-arm door pin method), unsure whether to use ground when armed wire, factory re-arm, etc.
Second, I am hooking up rear defrost and am confused with how to correctly test and / or hook into the circuit, when I find the rear defrost wire, I obviously can check the polarity but am unsure whether to set my second status wire to latched, constant or pulsed, and am unsure of how to test that, I want to do this correclty.
Thank you in advance for all of your help, I hope to have these two items figured out before I start the install, thank you.

thank you very much, couple quick follow up questions:
Is 87 is not used during this auto lights setup,
Also how do i know whether to use latched, pulsed or constant for future reference?
Do you think I should hook up keysense in this setup, because if so, I'll need to hook that to status output 1, with 2 diodes on the end becasue status 2 will be going to the rear defrost, which way should the cathode face, thank you again in advance.

the wiring guide indicates that, then you have to test to verify it yourself.
connect status 1 to bypass module no keysense needed.
connect status 2(rear defogger output) to defrost wire.
if you have 2 wires needed for status 1, diode isolate with 1amp diode with band facing the unit.

Correct 87 is not used in this application
Pulsed latched or timed output for defroster is all dependent on the vehicle

One last question, I cut the auto light shutdown wire in half, how do i know which side to put to 87a, I assume one side goes to the switch and the other to the lights, thank you again.

in iso standards, 30 indicates load side, 87a is switch side.
but for your application it does not matter. your purpose is to just interrupt the wire.

oh ok, great, for a dei alarm is there any setting i'll need to change to make it re-arm after shut down, or just make sure the car is locked, i'm also debating using the factory re-arm wire or the ground when armed wire
