Got a weird issue that just started occurring on my compustar alarm setup. For the last few days when I try to use the remote outside my condo I get no response from the brain regardless of button lock, unlock, start. So the last 2 days I open the car with key and start truck fine. As Im pulling away (20 feet away) and try tapping on unlock button the alarm responds and sends unlock pulse. It seems to work fine anywhere other than right outside my parking lot space at condo and has good range well beyond what I would realistically use.
Remote P/N: 1W900SHR-961 FCC: VA5JR961AM
Ant/remote kit: RF-1WG5-900SH
Brain is cm6000 / ft6000
Cant seem to find what the actual frequency is for this is it 961mhz? Maybe a neighbor just got a 900mhz wireless device that lives near me and its sending out enough RF to block my remote from working. Remote does not respond from the condo (about 30 feet from truck) or even right beside truck or 1 foot from antenna which is mounted behind the rear view mirror. This setup was installed last fall and has worked flawlessly until this happened.
any thoughts?

in canada the ss model is 900mhz or 433mhz. you might need to resync the rolling ss codes. cycle the ign on off 5 times and leave in the on position and reprogram your remotes by pressing lock.
next, replace the battery as the ones that come with the remote are junk.Even i replace the batteries with duracell batteries before i hand the renotes over to the customer. They cost around 6 bucks, but they last much longer.

I did the resync when I got to work the other day which of course it worked since I was away from the problem area. The batteries were changed not that long ago when I was experimenting with the range of remote.
The issue is it works everywhere except at home in my default parking place. If the truck was 30' away from where I park the remote picks up fine. Its as if the remote channel is being blocked in that immediate area. Its like Ive heard people have issues with their wifi after they got a bluetooth device like a wireless speaker. Cut off the bluetooth speaker and wifi works fine again.

unfortunately it could be interference which you cannot control, such as you suggested (BT, wifi, old cordless phones, etc) they all play a factor in range issues.
