Hello all,
First off sorry if this is in the wrong area. I am looking for someone who can help me or point me in the right direction as to where I can take my car to get my alarm issue troubleshooted. I have a 2006 Infiniti G35, and the system is an ST-800 which utilizes a keyless entry with push start button, and immobilizer bypass. (We use a flash logic instead of the included bypass which didn't work well) The issue that I'm having is there seems to be some kind of parasitic draw as when I leave my car armed overnight, it takes a couple of seconds longer to crank before starting, and sometimes it needs to crank 2 or 3 times to start. If any of you can point to me a trusted business in Orange County or the surrounding area that could help me out, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much for your time.

Have you actually tested to know for sure it is a parasitic draw or are you just assuming it is? Does the battery die completely if you leave it for a few days? Also, test the voltage at the battery with the car off, while cranking and while the car is running.

Hi Kenny,
Thank you for the response and suggestions.
Actually I just had my battery tested at Autozone this morning and they said the battery is fine. But this was after I was driving around...does this mean that there is no parasitic draw?
The only time I have the problem is after I leave the car sitting for several hours. My shop had spliced into the wrong wire (there are two wires coming off the ignition cylinder, for the key sense) and in this configuration, the battery did go out after the 3 day weekend. But after we switched to the other keysense wire (which was only a couple of days ago) I have not had the chance to leave the car sitting for longer than 17 hours. Even after 17 hours it still started up after 3 cranks. I'm not really sure if this is a parasitic draw issue or something else...and I don't really know how to troubleshoot this myself. So I am hoping that someone in the Southern California region can point me to a shop that can do troubleshoot and solve this issue for me. Thanks!
