if your going to put keyless entry in your car, why not go with a full alarm system. it will do everything that a keyless entry unit will do and then some......... you have to just use your head when it comes to mounting the motors. just make sure that the linkage doesnt bind. if you need more info, drop us a line.Good Luck

hes probably talking about like a 100lbs-work actuator that motorizes.

I've never dealt with doors like that before, but I would suggest using a power window controller. Figure it like this. It's going to take a little bit of time to get the doors up and down.....maybe ten seconds or something, right? That brings a few things to mind: --If you had to hold down the button on your remote until the door opens or closes, that would be stupid. --You could set up a timer to run for 10 seconds (or whatever the necessary time is). But then what do you do if the motors are slower in the winter? Or what if some foreign object gets stuck in there and the motor jams, and it gets burned out or something? --Those power window controllers are designed to run the motor and stop automatically when it reaches the end of its travel-----when the window (or your door) is all the way closed, the controller sees a demand for "more power", and then stops the motor. If you do want an alarm, you don't need to buy the keyless entry separately---carrying all those remotes would be kinda silly. But I see your point---you don't want the doors to move every time you arm and disarm. Once your door system evolves a little bit more, figure out just how you want to control them. Then, choose an alarm system that has enough extra auxillary outputs. Most have one output for trunk release, but some have many more. Then, you'll just not hook up the alarm's lock/unlock outputs to anything at all. Instead, use the auxillary outputs to run your doors up and down. If the alarm you choose doesn't have enough channels, you can buy a separate channel expander too.
