Hi all, first post.  Great site.  I just bought a 2012 Nissan Rogue s special edition.  I love the car but did not want to pay thousands extra for heated mirrors and auto on headlights.  Can these be added to my car aftermarket?  If the heated mirrors can be added, can they be added to work off the rear window defroster button like they should?  Would the cost to have this done be out of sight?  Thanks for the information.

search for the DEI nite bright kit. i think thats what its called but i might be a little off. this kit makes your headlights turn on when it gets dark. i think the kit was about $100 last time i saw it but installation will probably run you a little bit more than that.
a lot of the time cars will already come pre-wired for factory options so even if they arent installed the wires might already be there. if you can have a shop verify that the factory plug exists for the heated mirrors then buying and installing the factory headed mirrors should be easy but i have no idea what they cost. you might be able to find aftermarket heated mirrors but they will usually have to be hardwired into whatever circuit you want them to be activated by.

Thank you for the reply. How do I go about finding someone who could tell me if this is possible or not? I called one place that installs remote starters and they had never had a request for aftermarket heated mirrors and said that they did not think this could be done. I never say never, lol.   Any help would be appreciated.

dont be discouraged over the phone. most shops wont know off the top of their heads. to find out if your rouge is pre-wired for these add-ons is something that will have to be physically investigated unless you can call nissan and give them your VIN number and maybe they could tell you. but most likely you will have to go to a shop and pay them some labor to find out yay or nay if it's possible to integrate or if you will have to start from scratch and go aftermarket.
