issues with sigma alarms

Hi all
I've got a couple of strange queries regarding Sigma alarms - unfortunately, not the standard BMW ones listed in various guides I've seen, or at least their model number doesn't match even though the keyfobs are similar.
While my E92 is off the road, I purchase a very cheap E36 - this came fitted with a Sigma alarm (model M202 is listed on the module).
However, as the previous owner had passed away, I didn't get the PIN code, and the single remote keyfob was completely dead, however the LED on the keypad worked when a button was pressed.
Fortunately, I knew of another complete Sigma alarm going cheap (module, ultrasonics, keypad, 2 working keyfobs and the siren) - this was the M34.
I fitted the M34 module to the existing wiring, keyfobs working fine, indicators flashing, central locking working fantastic.
Then a problem. The ultrasonics already in the car don't work, but trying the replacement one (different style) do work ... no biggy, I'll swap them over eventually.
Same with the siren as the old one was a standard siren, the new one has a digital link and battery backup (untested as yet).
Both keypads seemed to work correctly, but the PIN supplied with the M34 on the little silver sticker, isn't accepted.
Also, I've noticed that the ignition doesn't appear to be connected to the alarm - i.e. if the ignition is on I can still set the alarm using the keyfob, which surely isn't right.
I've looked everywhere for a installer manual for either model of alarm so I can see a wiring diagram for the system, but all I can find is a user manual.
I'm sure the system hasn't been wired correctly, so I'd like to check what is connected to what, and where it should go.
Does anyone have a copy they can send me?
Also, is there a way of defaulting the entire system including the PIN (for the M34) so that I can get the keypad working?
I get the impression that a lot of system options are set using the keypad.
Otherwise I'll be looking around for another alarm system.
Any help, wiring diagrams, booklets and guidance gratefully appreciated. I've got both modules out of the car at the moment (while I'm off work) so I've got access to the model/serial numbers or any other information if needed.

The only people who can possibly help are Scorpion/Toad, they own the Sigma brand.
I can't help because my natural response when I see one in a BMW is to BIN the overcomplicated POS and fit a Clifford!

You might also make enquiries, they used to do a very good installation/programming tool, you could probably change the access codes, redo the remotes etc. Sorry, it's been about 18 years since I did one.
