I understand I need to connect the 3 fused sources on Harness 3 (pins 2,6,9) to a constant 12v. The wires are roughly 12 gauge. Seems odd to have 3-30 amp fuses connected in parallel off one ignition wire.

So what's the best way to make these connections? Does everyone connect all three wires to the 12v in the ignition harness (three seperate splice connections), merge three wires together then run to one common 30 amp fuse, or connect all 3 to the battery? I understand up to 10 amps could be pulled when starting, but should the unit ever exceed a 30 amp fuse under normal operation? Thanks for any input.

I have connected all three to one 12 volt source from the ignition switch and have had no problems on several of my vehicles.

OP all your connection methods are acceptable answers except using one 30 amp fuse.
You might get away with that 60% of the time.
I know of some vehicles that will draw up to 30 amps down the (only) ignition wire when HVAC is on.
The separate fuses are there for a reason, use them.
