I have a BMW 318 1996 with a 446rli installed. My problem is when i turn the car on the alarm goes off and the car does not start. This only started happening when i changed the battery over. Really beginning to bug me as i need my car. Does anyone know any troubleshooting i could try?

Sorry to sound cynical but dump it or Google Autowatch alarms.

Do you have the Manual? Try putting the Unit in Valet and see if it starts. You could disconnect the unit and see if the vehicle starts. If it still doesnt start with the 2 above suggestions, then un-plug the unit and re-attach your starter wire. Do you have a DMM?
