2011 nissan frontier vss pin location

can someone please give me the pin number for the VSS wire on a new model nissan frontier. i know it is light blue at the instrument cluster but there are 3 different light blue wires and im not in a position to actually test the VSS by driving the truck down the road(hurricane outside...)and i already have the cluster taken out and it isnt easy to get to, please help me out

Directed shows the VSS at the white 16pin connector at the radio pin 13, except for base models. I've often seen on Nissans that if the VSS is not at the radio, then it also is not at the cluster. The pin would be missing at the cluster, but the signal is still there. You just need to insert a Pin or strip back some wire and insert it. I know this isn't exactly what you were looking for...hopefully its at that plug behind the radio. Also, sometime there is another wire that you can use that goes up to the sunroof, I don't have the wiring for this model Nissan. Same situation on this one, if there is no sunroof, then there is no wire. but, the empty slot will still work.

try this, Insert wire into pin 6 at the cluster if its not already there:

You don't need to drive it to test, about 20 feet or so is enough to find the pulse with your DVM...

That said, i have always done it like stated above by inserting a wire in the pin location if it doesn't exist...

thanks, i actually believe that i found it through process of elimination. it looks like it was there at the cluster in the spot that you want me to add a wire. funny though because im pretty positive that it was not at the radio harness because it was just a standard old style nissan plug(the one with two plugs) and not the new style found on some of their cars, even though my factory system was not the base model. i still havent 100% confirmed that i have the right wire but it did make my navigation unit stop bothering me about not having it hooked up so i assume i did something right.
