Has anyone installed an alarm on a base 2012 Chevy Silverado with just power door locks (no factory Keyless)?
My main question being is does the base model have negative door locks as previous years or do they all need can bus modules just for keyless entry?
Thanks in advance for any feed back

On the base trucks without keyless or power windows, you can find a ORANGE / Black unlock wire and a Pink/Black lock wire at the gray plug of the BCM in cavities 11 and 12. These are the driver's door switch wires and need a ground pulse to activate. If not a base truck, then you need to use a data module to interface with the vehicle.

Power Lock      pink/black (except premium models)      -      BCM, gray plug, pin 12
Notes: The BCM (Body Control Module) is under the driver dash, to the left of the steering column.
On premium models, use a Directed interface module. If interface module is not available, see Tech Doc 1601, using the following wires.
The driver door lock - unlock motor wires are tan - purple (5 wire) at the driver window switch, brown 16 pin plug, pins 7 and 8.
The passenger door lock - unlock motor wires are tan - gray/black (5 wire) at the passenger window switch, brown 16 pin plug, pins 7 and 8.
The rear doors lock - unlock wires are lt. blue (+) - white (-) at the BCM, gray plug, pins 7 and 9.
Power Unlock      ORANGE / black (except premium models)      -      BCM, gray plug, pin 11
