I've got a 91 galant vr4 that came with the avital 2101, my problem is that when using the remote one click of lock or unlock will only lock/unlock the passenger doors. Driver remains in its position.
My other issue I have is that the horn won't confirm, I'm not sure if it isn't hooked up to the system or not though. I would figure it out but I can't find a good wiring diagram of the 2101, as my phone is the only computer I currently have.
If anyone can post a diagram between the galant and 2101 that'd be great, I'm mainly looking for passive door locks, horn confirmation, and dome light supervision all working. I just don't have the resources to pull up the files to do so.

91 Japanese imports didn't have full central locking, you probably find you can only lock from the driver's door with the key.
If so you need a DEI 451 and an actuator for the driver's door.

The drivers door does have an actuator, all the doors will lock/unlock if I use the key in the door or use the door lock inside the car.

Do you know? Have you seen it?
Can you unlock all the doors from the passenger side?

Which door lock are you talking about on the inside. Is it an actual electronic switch or the main lock/unlock lever. If it's not an electronic switch then you most likely do not have an actuator in the driver door. My money is on that.

Yes the doors will all lock and unlock from driver or passenger side. It doesn't have an electric switch just the mechanical lock.

OK then, US Spec for that year lists BROWN / white lock and BROWN / blue unlock, both NEG (-) in the DKP, and GREEN/ black NEG (-) as the horn trigger in the steering wheel loom, those positions come as a real surprise on a Japanese vehicle.
Didn't you test and verify originally?
Do-able in 5 minutes with a test light.

I didn't have a wiring diagram so I had no ability to check which wires.

Funny I've had 4 Galants, never a wiring diagram but you don't need one for jobs like that.
You know the horn wire will be in the steering column loom and the lock wires will be going into the driver door so you know where to look.
