Hi I was thinking about going with this bypass kit since it seems you don't need to have two keys to actually program the module. What I was curious with was how well this would work since when I bought the vehicle it came with only one key. Should I go this route or would it be easier to just go to the dealer pay the $100 to get a new key and use a different bypass?

What vehicle are we talking about here? Quite a few iDatalink bypasses offer the KLON if you are an authorized user. It makes it so you don't have to have 2 keys.Kenny

Yes, the idatalink bypasses would work with 1 key using KLON, but you have to b an authorized user. I would personally find a place that can do it for you (if you cannot) and go with the iDatalink... they are a lot more reliable than the DEI bypasses (in my experience).Kenny

The DB-ALL Key2Go is similar to the iDatalink KLON process and you must be a authorized registered Directed installer to access this process, just like KLON.

If it was me, I would go to the Ford dealer and pay the price to get a second working ignition key.  Two reasons : One, you really should have a spare key, and Two, with the two working keys you can use any transponder bypass module for the remote starter install.
