Hi all,
A friend has an AM6 installed in his '05 Accord. The unit will turn the engine over for a few moments but not actually start the vehicle.
Looking for an installation manual or advice from someone who knows these units so we can troubleshoot.

Is the security light on the dash flashing when remote start is attempting to start the car?
Do you know what kind of bypass is used for the immobilizer?
Put the key in the ignition switch but don't turn it and try remote starting, does it turn on?
Turn the car on with the key and then try to do takeover and see if it keeps the car running.
The AM6 is similar to the Avital 4103. The wiring varies just slightly. Very basic and simple system.

In the install manual, there is a shutdown diagnostics you can check for also.

If a few moments = around 15 seconds then it's probably tach.

I have asked my friend to check on the above - for sure don't know the bypass, haven't looked at car myself.
