This is completely separate from my VW issue since I can't get to the immobilizer ring wires on that car, but it got me thinking; is there any reason that you cannot tie into the factory immobilizer ring wires (on vehicles that have only 2 wires coming off the ring) when connecting a 'wrapped key relay'? It would definitely help with reliability over a normal wrap the ignition barrel, but I wasn't sure if it could have the potential of causing errors down the road with either the remote start or the factory key reading.
Any input?

Look at the 556U section on Euro cars that's the method I always use on BM and VAG group cars.

Yea, I know that method, I was just thinking when doing the old 'wrap a key, wrap the ignition, go through a relay' method on any vehicle, to possibly tie into the factory ring wires instead of wrapping around the ignition. Because no matter how tight you wrap that sucker, they always seem to eventually work loose. On most cars that doesn't matter, but some prove to be a pita.
