08 mitsu endeavor remote start

Going to install a Viper 4103 remote start into this 08 Endeavor. Was looking for ideas on bypass for this Suv and also looks to be some issues with the locks. Anyone with experience with this vehicle? Any help would be great!! Thanks in advance

What lock issue? Did an L200 (similar) last week with no problems. Tach was pin 9 on the data socket (OBD II)

Issue probably was not a good way to explain. I have seen on some of the bypass sites about tying into the lock and unlock wires and having to add pins in some plugs where there were no wires.. but most other information I have obtain show straight negative trigger locks and Fortin has a bypass for the immobilizer.. What did you use for the immobilizer bypass?

Off the record I de-chipped the RFID chip from the key because we don't have much choice available. I was also installing a UK Cat I alarm with twin immobiliser cuts so it didn't really matter about the chip, glued to the base of the antenna ring where the wires leave it. I looked at Fortin CAN-Evo and CAN-All, both appear to give you all you will need, please check with them which one and let me know.

BTW Mits US listed 2 negs as lock and unlock, this vehicle needed the motor wires, blue lock and blue/black unlock but then your vehicle is based on the Pajero/Montero/Shogun. Japanese models (Pajero)up to 2000, add actuator. UK spec 2 x NEG triggers BUT I did one UK spec (Shogun) which needed the motor wires done. So TEST. The CAN units will let you unlock the vehicle once remote started.

Doesn't the Endeavor have a remote-head key? I'd ditch the 4103 for a 4113. Simple 1-button start only unit; use the original remote for the locks. Do you have two existing keys? If so, just get yourself an aftermarket transponder key, a key-in-box bypass (like the 556U), and program it yourself (using the car's owner's manual). Much cheaper than the data modules, and installation is easier. One example of the key you need is STRATTEC 692562; maybe a local locksmith would sell you one. The rest of the car is easy: Ignition wires in the column, positive parking lights at any of the dashboard switches to the left of the steering wheel, and I'm pretty sure the brake wire has easy access above the brake switch. At least that's how I do all of them. The installation guide for the data module, with regards to the locks, is complicated because they're trying to find a clever way to control the factory Mitsubishi alarm. They're pulsing the doorpin at the same time as lock so it'll arm, and also pulsing the ignition system with unlock so it'll disarm. I would simplify things and just use the factory remote for all that.

Does the factory remote still work while it is remote started?
