2009 tacoma , viper 4707

I have been working on installing the Viper 4707 auto start in my 2009 Toyota Tacoma manual transmission. I finally got the TACH to learn, now it is giving me a remote start error on the remote. I have checked all the wires are connected correctly. I have followed the set-up procedures for a manual transmission when leaving the vehicle for the remote start to work and that the unit is set for manual transmission. I do not have a bitwriter to see what everything else is set to. For my make, model and transmission type is there a setting(s) that needs to be changed that could affect the remote start working?

Few things I am unsure about with the clutch bypass relay are:

I have it hooked up as :

Relay Pin 86 to +12V constant thru 3 A fuse

Relay Pin 87 to Tacoma Clutch Blue/Black input wire

Relay Pin 30 to Tacoma Clutch BLACK / YELLOW output wire

Relay Pin 87A not used - insulate

<"Arial">And the other thing I am not sure of is if the H2/3 Blue/White is set to 2nd status for I cannot find anything on how to set that . Do I need a Bitwriter for that?

Lastly, does anyone have something that shows which connector is which under the dash of a 2009 Toyota Tacoma for they are not labeled or I am just blind and cannot see the connector identification.

Does the truck remote start if you set reservation mode but stay seated in the truck, then depress the clutch

pedal and press the remote start button?

If that works, your clutch bypass is the problem.  If it doesn't work, try the test again but place the ignition key

right next to the ignition cylinder ( so that the  truck can read the transponder chip ) and don't depress the clutchpedal.  Does the truck start now?  If yes, you have a bypass module problem.  If no, try test again with clutch depressed.

Assuming you have the correct clutch interlock wires, the relay wiring looks good and should work.  The Viper

4704 comes factory defaulted for Manual Transmission Mode and the H2/3 wire defaulted to 2nd Status.  Nore-programming necessary there.  However the Engine Checking default is Virtual Tach and should be changedto Opt 4, Tach Mode.  And the Tach Learn process must be completed successfully.

there are settings that need to be set for manual transmission mode. the neutral safety wire needs to be hooked to the neutral safety switch wire that should be blue/white - at the drivers side fusebox according to the audiovox tech sheet. there also might be a toggle switch with 2 wires and a small plug that comes with the viper and that needs to be plugged in to the brain and set to on.
