I have a 2008 Chevy Silverado Duramax. I have installed a 5501 Viper Remote starter. I used the DB-ALL, OBDTHRGM2, and RFLCHGM. The truck had factory remote start only installing for range. DB-ALL instructions say to only hook up D2D and GREY/BLK (+) Accessory Output. From wht I undestand the OBDTHRGM2 cobers the 12+, + ignition, and single CAN on 14 pin plug.I n the instuctions it says I do not need RAP.  Now in the DB-ALL instructions it says I need Neutral Saffety (-), Parking Lights, 12v+, and ground. Seems vague,On the 5501 I hooked up the H1/2 RED 12v constant, H1/5 Ground, Havent hooked up Parking lights yet H1/11. I have tha alarm lose just to comfirm it works. I also grounded Neutral saftey. Also have antenna, DAD, and switch pluged in to 5501. Now my when i try the system my door looks work, but when i try to start I get 7 "flashes" (clicks since light are not hooked up).

Now heres the issue. When I try to enter Programming System Features I follow the instruction I turn the key on and off but nothing happens when I hold the button. No LED flashes. Now when the system is armed it flashes. So I dont know where I have gone wrong I believe this will work if I can get it out of manual transmission mode.

Any Ideas

I believe you have to press, release, then press and hold the button for programming mode.

First make sure the system is disarmed before attempting to enter programming mode.
Turn key on then off and then press and hold the programming button until the LED blinks.   It will blink once for menu 1, then twice for menu 2, etc.
Once you get the menu you need, release the button and then press the button the number of times for the option you need and then press and hold one more time. The LED will blink to confirm the feature you are working on.
Press the remote lock or unlock button to cycle thru the options of that feature.
When done programming, cycle the key on and off and programming ends.

What do you have the ignition wire connected to?  I believe the Viper needs to see voltage on that wire and maybe a door trigger to access the menus.  Are you doing this D2D or W2W?

It would help if you listed what wires from the Viper are connected to what on the truck and DB-ALL.

When all else fails, Read the Instructions
