Bought the girlfriend a remote start for Christmas, and its turning out to be a lot more wiring than what I have done before. I have all the confidence in my install ability, just need help deciphering which wire goes where. I am doing this myself due to the fact that I had one alarm "Professionally" installed, and it about caused me to get in an accident (brain fell behind brake pedal). I installed an alarm in a 2000 Sonoma, and a remote start in a 2001 Grand Prix. Never had an issue with either. Now am going to install a remote start in a 2009 Ford Focus. Bought the Python 414, DBALL, and XKLoader2.
I have been searching around and found some install guidelines on this forum, just not all the wire terminology. Any help will be greatly appreciated, I want to make sure everything works good for her. Any tips/tricks info on loading the xkloader...
Thanks in advance.

Make sure to connect the DBall in W2W or you will have nothing but problems down the road.

Use a DMM to test wires on the car before you connect to the remote starter. The two links below have slightly different listing for some wires.

http://www.bulldogsecurity.com/bdnew/vehiclewiringdiagrams.asp

http://www.readyremote.com/main.asp?action=select&yr=24486&product=Remote Start&make=Ford&model=Focus

H2/3  to white /orange (-) latched...HVAC control module in dash, black 26 pin,  Pin 3...from Omega wire guide

H1/5 will connect to the cars parking lights wire

H2/18 not required

Does the car have a factory alarm??

When all else fails, Read the Instructions

Just a suggestion...

The 2009 Focus has thin gauge ignition wires.  I wouldn't connect the remote starters 4 power input wires to
that thin Blue/Red wire.  I use and would recommend the thick WHITE/ Red wire found at the back of the fuse box.

There is a bit of conflicting info in the wiring guides on the Trunk Release.  Some list it as Blue (-) in the DPK or

at Release Switch, some have it as Light Blue (-) in DKP,  and other list it as Light Blue (+) in DKP or SJB.   I
have used a Blue (+) wire in the DKP.  Ready Remote currently has this info :
Trunk/Hatch Release    Brown  (-) @ release switch or SJB, gray 26 pin plug (C), pin 20
Just make sure you test before connecting the R/S's Trunk Release (-) output wire and if you end up using a
(+) Trunk Release wire in the Focus, you will need a relay.

Soldering is fun!

Just checked and she does not have a factory alarm on her car. Sitting inside the car I hit the remote lock, waited a little bit then opened the door from the inside, no alarm or anything happened. Think this makes this much easier, correct? I have updated things in bold that I think are correct. Thanks again for the help so far everyone.

Oh yeah, I will also use a larger wire to power this thing.
Does anyone know where the PATS wire harness is located on this car? Going to wait for the weather to get near 30's or so before I attempt the install, doesn't show that in the 10 day so still have some time.

The PATS connector is going to be somewhere on the ignition switch. It is going to have four small gauge wires in it. Page 10 of the DB-ALL instructions list the Focus PATS connector shape and wire positions and color.
When all else fails, Read the Instructions
