Got a ready remote 24921B and installed it in my wife's 2001 Lexus LX470.
It starts the car, and does shut the car off with the 3 second button push, and will do the find your car feature, where it flashes the parking lights 5 times.
It kept unlocking the doors during remote start and didn't re-lock them, but I finally got that working, and the doors stay locked now during remote start, but it won't unlock the doors with a push on the remote after the vehicle is started, nor will it let me use my Lexus remote to unlock the doors if the vehicle is started with the ready remote, I have to use the key in the door.
Also somewhere during install, the front parking lights quit working at all, but the rear ones are working fine.
Any ideas on why it won't unlock the doors with the remote start remote, or with the Lexus remote? I'd like to have one or the other of the remotes unlock the doors after remote start.
Or any ideas what happened to the front parking lights; if both front and rear were not working it would be easier to figure out, but it's only the front ones.
None of the wires in the Lexus were located where the Lexus website or the DEI website said they were. I don't know how many times I had the wife come in and ask where a wire was located, and someone here always had an answer when she searched. Thanks!

What wires are you connected to for unlock and parking lights?
Directwire and Omega each have a different wire color for the unlock wire. Both on a 20-pin connector on the Passenger side kick panel.
It's either GREEN/ Black or GREEN / WHITE.
For positive parking lights, both Directwire and Omega show -
Parking Lamp     GREEN (+)     BLACK 15 PIN CONN. AT FUSE BLOCK
OR
For negative parking lights,
Parking Lights-      brn/blk or grn/wht fuse box
Notes: In a 20 pin connector located to the top middle of the fuse box.
Not sure why only one end of the parking lights works and not the other, but I would double the connections to make sure they are correct. And of course, test every wire with a meter.

I was unaware that (I never drive it) this Lexus will not lock or unlock by the factory remote if the engine is running,(once you start the car, the factory fob is inactive) so it won't allow you to lock yourself out. It also won't let you use the manual door lock if the key's in the ignition and the drivers door is open. So I disconnected the readyremote wiring from the car lock/unlock wiring; now it stays locked when the car is started by the ready remote.
However, it means you can only unlock the doors with the key if you start it with the readyremote. The factory remote will work as it should any other time. The wife says she'll just shut the car off with the readyremote fob as she gets close so she can use the factory fob if her hands are full.
If there is a way around this that will make either remote work to unlock the door after starting the car with the readyremote, that would be great.
Still looking at the parking lights; the car's 12 years old and the lightbulbs have never been changed, so maybe we just didn't notice they weren't working? I'm going to check that possibility first before I start tearing back into anything.
Thanks shortcurcuit.

I forgot to mention that a lot of earlier model Toyota/Lexus vehicles could not unlock with the factory remote with ignition on.
I believe the wires stated are from the Passenger key switch wiring and are found in the passenger kick panel. Pick either of the wire colors mentioned above and test them while turning the key in the driver or passenger door. If you find the wire that works when you turn the key to unlock, that's the wire you would connect to from the Ready Remote system. That wire will always work to unlock the car whether it's running or not.
As for the parking lights, it's very possible the bulbs need replacing but it doesn't hurt to confirm the correct wire is being used.
