I have a avital 5303l. I have everything hooked up and working, but NPC (nuisance protection circuitry) feature will not turn off. So i get 5 beeps from the alarm when i unlock it, instead of the regular two. IN the manual it explains all this and says you have to start ignition for the NPC to reset. So here's the thing, my alarm isn't connected to ignition or all the extra remote start wiring, because I don't want remote start. I just want the basics. So what wire(s) do i need installed for the npc to be reset?

You would have to connect at least the ignition wire to stop the NPC and also change options if needed (assuming you don't have a Bitwriter).
It's also like any other alarm system, having that ignition wire connected also protects the ignition switch should someone try to turn a key to start the car without disarming it first.
