Why do I think Toyota are starting to get the 99-06 Mercedes syndrome?
Too many processors = too many problems.

I never do trunk release on the FJ. The original Toyota remote doesn't have it, so the customer is not used to having it...if that makes sense. They list a trunk release for my 2008 Honda CRV, but its so silly... as you reach to open the trunk you automatically hit the release button. I hooked it up one time and you were opening the trunk again even though you did it from the remote. It was silly on that particular car. Then I noticed the original Honda remote didn't have a trunk release button. So the connection was a waste of time.

Yea I've done a couple fjs and have never done trunk release. This customer had a system installed at some other shop on Thursday and the shop told him it wasn't needed. Then called me to see if I could add the trunk release
