I have a viper 5902 that was installed by best buy it's been in there for over a year and now all of a sudden the remote starter doesn't want to work. I have it grounded to the battery now, the code the comes up is transmitter shutdown. There another problem.... I start my truck put it in "pit mode" and step on the brake pedal and the truck does shut down anymore. Sometimes the led would flash 9 time saying the low battery. I have a new battery in the truck. I have no clue what it could be. All the fuse are ok. If anyone has any suggestions that's would be great.

Since it was installed by BestBuy, it should be under warranty. Have them look at it. I believe the remotes only have a 1 year warranty on them.

That being said, you could try pulling the fuse on the H1/2 wire for about 15 minuets see if that clears the issue.   Next, I would deleting all remotes and then pair the up with the brain again.

Thanks for the input... I've been reading the instructions and it doesn't show anything about resetting the system, only to either call the 1800 number or take it back to the deal. I can't find my receipt so they wanna charge me now, even tho they looked up my name in their computer..... How do I delete the remote settings? The main LCD remote hasn't worked in almost a year and the can't warrant that one out so I'm using the back up one.

Download the installation manual, page 20 tell how to delete remotes. PAge 10 tells how to re-match, (paring) the remote to the remote starter.   If you can't pull the fuse on the H1/2 wire, you can disconnect the vehicle battery for 15 minuets to try to clear the issue.

id bet money its because of a loose connection at the main harness. Best Buy doesnt solder their wires so they use T-taps which clip onto the wires to make a connection and they tend to come loose or break wires. if you say its been in there for about a year then its due time for a loose wire. sometimes vipers have issues when they loose power, sometimes they drop the keypad programming. i had to re-sync all of my keypads when i re-installed my viper in my frontier after having it sitting in a bag for about a year.
