Hello everyone i have a 2005 F-150 xlt 5.4 i installed an avital 5303l right out of the box and a xpress pktx. The alarm works very well but when i go to remote start it the truck turns on and the alarm sounds i turn down the shock sensor and that didn't work.

I can disarm and remote start  no problem and rearm but i can't remote start with out the alarm going off. This is the 2nd alarm i install in a truck im a newbee. Oh and on the remote it shows the door has been tamped with when i remote start it.

Hope i gave plenty of info. Thanks for reading.

Thanks for your help

Most likely when you remote start the truck is turning on the dome light. Do you have your door pin tied to the dome light?
The remote start should be bypassing the shock sensor when it remote starts - when remote started it should only be looking for door and hood pins.
Disconnect your door pin input and retest. If that "fixes" the problem then connect your door pin input directly to the door pins and not to the dome light.

I can't remember for sure, but does that bypass pulse the door pin upon remote start to either wake up the BCM or bypass factory security? Or is it possibly like the newer fords that have to pulse the ignition for factory disarm?
Is there an ignition input to the PKTX (sorry, I don't have a manual in front of me for it)?

So I disconnected door triggers and it remote starts with out sounding alarm. When reconnected alarm sounds so connected to dome light truck remote starts without sounding alarm but if I try to open the doors alarm does not active. Do I need diodes and a secure lock bypass.
