I have searched the forums using The 12 Volt's search tool and have not found a wiring diagram for  2009 Ford Ranger. I am getting ready to do a R/S alarm install in one and need the wire diagram. The newest one I could find was for the 2005 Ford Ranger. Are the wires the same as that one for a 2009 Ranger? Also, what is the best immobizer bypass for this application. Looking at the Viper line of R/S's and using a 556U bypass, unless I can find one that would work without having to fill it with a spare key. One more thing, this Ranger is a 5 speed, are there any special modules I would need to ensure it will not start if parked in gear?

Thanks!

Thanks,
Mike Ward

You must use a remote start system that is designed for a manual transmission vehicle.  There

are many major brands available.  If you want to use a Viper system, the 570x and 590x models
will do the alarm, remote start and keyless entry and are manual transmission safe.

There are many bypass modules available for your truck that do not require leaving a working

ignition key in a box, under the dash.   The PKALL is a solid bypass module and can be found
for under $40.  My favorite is the Directed 1100F and can be had for under $15.  The only possible
problem is - you must have two, working, non-clone ignition keys to program any bypass module.
