neutral safety wire 2013 chevy

Directechs has no listing for the Neutral Safety wire for 2013 chevy silverado. Can anyone help me out? Need it for park kill on a siren and emitter.

If I remember correctly there isnt a neutral safety wire on those trucks. Its communicated on the data bus. What exactly are you trying to do? maybe theres another way we can help with

I need a wire that has a positive or negative trigger when in park. it is used to tuen off the siren and traffic emitter when in park. it's for a fire truck

I would say wire it to the parking brake and have him hit it before getting out. Shouldnt take a second more for him to hit the parking brake.

in that case then they could just hit the button to turn it off. firefighters don't think about that stuff

Even if the signal is carried and decoded by the computer there has to be a sensor on the transmission that should operate in some manner you can tie into. Definitely need a schematic of that circuit to understand how it operates. However having said that if it is some sort of iteration of a 4l60e or newer then there may not be a sensor outside the transmission case. Wondering if you could make a park circuit that is interupted by a rostra cruise control speed signal generator? Worth a look into. To master and control electricity is perfection. *evil laugh*

I wanted to say that normally there is a BIG difference a parking brake and a neutral signal, though in this case it may not be that significant. But I just had to reply to thank flobee4 - what a great link! Good to see the usual relay isolated second battery though I'm surprised they still use diode isolators (for the light truck versions). And interesting to read their battery & alternator charging theory. That has more detail than I have seen elsewhere. The above trivials are of interest to me, but the whole manual as a ref for any installer or owner - WOW!!

that is a great link. I'm not 100% sure on what wire. page 84. on the left. looks like the yellow wire that comes out of the BCM into the fuse block is what i want.
