Still new to installations so before I break something let me holla at you all. Im wiring this new scanner into my system and its a 3 wire hook up. I plan to just snip the current LED status light wires and solder in the new ones directly. Give it a ground and keep it moving. This sound about right? Or will I need to do more?
Thanks N Advance

You might want to wait for someone else to concur with this....but I think you can do the following:
1. Snip off the current LED, leaving you with the red and black wire from that.
2. Hook up the red wire from your scanner led to the red wire from the old led.....do the same with the black wires.
3. Hook up the yellow wire from your scanner to the "ground when armed" wire of your alarm...so the scanner knows when to turn on.
By the way, I looked here for help on this....the FAQs, and the manual.
