Installed a 4103 remote start system and wonder of wonders it worked perfectly the first time.
Today while working on something else, I inadvertently ran the battery down and had to put the charger on it.
When I later tried to remote start it (FJ cruiser), all I got was a bump from the starter...no real turn over.     Made sure there was a full charge, but still just an instantaneous bump...no spin.
It almost acts like there's no tach signal, but I hard wired it to the tach cable....not a virtual tach.
Any suggestions on what happened and how to fix it?
Thanks for any and all advice.

Did you try starting it with the key before remote starting it ?   Maybe unplug the module wait like a min and plug it back in ?

Well,I spent an hour messing with the programming settings....mainly the starter run time and the tach settings.
Run time had no effect. Switching between virtual and wired tach had no effect. But when I turned the tach setting to "off" it worked like a champ!
Have no idea why or what happened to cause this problem. Had to have something to do with the dead battery and the charging of same.
Would be very interested in any opinions of what happened here....just to satisfy my curiousity.
