Hi guys,
I have an alarm in my ute with a small but loud siren. It beeps once/twice for lock/unlock. I want the siren to work for my own acknowledgement of alarm status, but it's currently too loud. Is there a resistor I can put in line with the siren to drop the db output? Something adjustable would be good. I'm not worried about having a quiet alarm when the alarm is activated as I don't think anybody cares anyway. The current beeps are quite loud at 5am!
Graham.

Duct tape over the end of the siren. Leave a small gap so the sound will easily come out.

Not sure what brand, it's just a cheap generic 12v siren.
I'm told the alarms siren output wire will handle up to 15 watts.
Graham.
