Hi guys, I have a few questions about this install any help would be greatly appreciated.

Im am installing a viper 5704 on a Lincoln mkz 07 with an Idatalink ADS al(tb) fm2 (3.22). This install did not start off on the right foot. first off the wiring for the 07 does not match my car. The 08 does i checked the vin to  get the year of the car and it is an 07. And now im confussed because on hte 07 I have a factory amlarm wire that i have to account for. In the 08 it says N/A. can anyone shed some light on this?

My secound isue is that for door trigger i picked up the dome light wire but its a N/C. can someone explain how I wire this up?

Truck release is no N/A is this true?

Do I need key sense for this car?

Any ideas on the tach wire? should I go to the coil?

Any ideas would be great thanks.

No better feeling then getting a remote start to work right!

well needing to know what you are working on exactly will be the key here. what is the 8th number from the RIGHT on the vin?
I would recommend Dome Supervision wire, Blue + in DK.
for trunk I would break out the DMM and see what I could find. Worst case is going to the trunk release solenoid.
If ADS doesnt say to use key sense then DON'T.
Tach should be to the injector.

Thanks for the reply,

i picked up the blue + from the sjb the only thing that it has me confused, is that it is a n/c pin. i c no voltage when the door is opend. When i close it I get 12v. I have no clue how to make this wire work for me. If the doors are closed the 5704 will think the door is opened right?

The 8th number is a 7.Thanks

Can anyone tell me since i got the Blue + domelight wire and I program my door switch type to N/C on the 5704. Would that work to monitor my doors?

Look in the downloads section for a tech tip on interfacing with N.C. door triggers. It involves using resistors.
Try search terms Mazda, Ford, N.C., etc..

Thanks for the response. I Have the 4 10kohm resistors and my 8 1amp diodes.  Just to make sure I have this correct i have to cut the trigger wire solder the diode band towards the door pins, then solder my other 4 diodes with my resistors witch i would do on the bench. Any input on wether i could use my domelight circuit for door monitoring? Thanks for your help.

very good pictorial. I Just noticed something. The wirin provided here is for  3.5L ENGINE AND PREMIUM AUDIO SYSTEM

my car has 3.0 engine nothing fancy on the audio ither. In other sites for the trigger wire I have a

violet/grey + trigger for my door. I think the best thing for my to do is start testing wires.
