My buddy just got a 2014 Honda Accord Sedan Automatic PTS. He wanted to do a remote start to his keypad so I was thinking of doing a cheaper viper and tying the activation input to the door lock (with a relay of course. However I am mostly familiar with Audiovox bypasses, the FLCAN in particular. They do not have a program out of the 2014 as yet and was wondering if the 2013 will be the same schematics and programs.
Thanks guys.

I can't talk for Audiovox, but iDatalink does support the 2014 Accord PTS... but you must have or have access to a dealer account for the KLON extended programming. As far as wiring, I am fairly certain they are the same... but don't quote me on that. Also, why go through the trouble without an actual remote? The range on the factory remote is typically quite pitiful and isn't typically worth the effort of installing a remote start.

He insists on have it to the factory key. I don't know if there are any rsr out yet cause that would me time and him money. I have access to flash the audiovisual, I used to work for best buy so that wouldn't be an issue. Idata link just seems weird to me just because I never did one. I can give it a shot I guess.

FLCAN and iDatalink ALCA are the same thing.
2014 Accord is the same as 2013; use 2013 instructions.
OEM Honda remote doesn't work while the engine is running, so your friend will be quite sad if he uses his factory remote to trigger the remote starter. He'll have to use the mechanical metal key to get the door open when the car is running.
He should just use a simple 1-button starter like Prestige APS901C, Pursuit PRO9056C, or Avital 4113. It'll start the car but also unlock it when he wants to get in.
Also note the following:
FLCAN installation will shut down the engine when a door is opened. Enter car, restart engine, drive away.
Fortin EVO-ALL allows takeover (unlock, get in, drive away), but requires customer to sacrifice a key.

Chris, there is a way. When you use the FLCAN on a 2014 PTS Accord(usning 2013 software), after the car starts the FLCAN allows the drivers door handle unlock to still work. Notice that when you just touch the back of the handle it unlocks? This still works allowing you a way to get in. I've done a dozen of them already using the Audiovox AS 9234 remote start, so pressing lock/unlock/lock on the factory remote starts the car...

FYI, the 2014 PTS Odyssey does NOT do this....
