I was wondering if anyone knows why idatalink or fortin can't create a bypass without using a valid ignition key? I've been doing remote starts for about a decade but cant figure out why there's not a solution without a key. I could call them and ask them but I figured I would save my time on hold if someone knows why.

Its not an easy encryption like a NA vehicle, its more complex. TECHNICALLY they have cracked the codes on these vehicles but the programming procedure takes 30-45 minutes when your in the same building as their server, so who knows what kind of lag you are taking about over the internet. Also I was told there were legal issues with it as well, however I don't know if that story was completely accurate. We have been calling for a euro crack for ever as installers and I keep getting told they are working on it but I don't hold my breathe anymore on it, I just keep wrapping a key and going about my way.

Oh BTW I can't remember which engineer told me they actually cracked it, might have been Idata, might have been xpresskit, can't recall right now as they were both at the conference I was at when I was told.
