In the process of installing a remote starter on my 2000 buick regal I referenced the vehicle wiring color chart on the bulldog site, as well as another site that I cannot recall the name of just now. They show only two ignition wires in the steering harness, whereas the chart on this site shows a third ignition wire (dark green) that I cannot locate on my car. Anybody know why this is? I was told by a local shop that I must use a relay to power up the third ignition, if I do in fact have one in the harness, in order to prevent tranny problems. Thanks, John

According to Directechs you have two ignition wires on that car ,Pink which is ignition one and White to Dark Green which is ignition two .What this means is that the White wire changes color at some point to Dark Green maybe on the other side of the ignition harness.

If you have a Digital Multi Meter,(DMM) you will want to test the wire to determine if they are Ignition, Accessory, Starter, 1,2,3, ect.
In the downloads section is the install manual for the Viper 5701, which has a section on how to find the wires you need and how to test for them.
When all else fails, Read the Instructions
