Hi im using a viper 5704 in a 2005 Audi a8 using dei dlpk and kivw with 556u everything works as it should but i cannot get the viper to go into programming mode to change the run time and also to pair a new 2 way remote   ive check all the grounds even grounded the green wire h2/6 even though the door trigger is controlled thru the dlpk. i made sure neutral safety was grounded and cut off the switch and wired them together. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

(see page 11 of the install manual)

if the previous person programming it used a Bitwriter, they may have locked the programming before exiting.

you can only unlock locked programming by using a Bitwriter.

locking with a Bitwriter keeps anyone who doesnt have a Bitwriter from changing program options.

What are the steps you are doing to get into the programing?

1. Open a door.
2. Turn the ignition on, then off.
3. Select a Menu. Press and hold the Control button. The number of siren chirps indicates the menu number.
1 chirp indicates menu 1, 2 chirps - menu 2 and 3 chirps for menu 3.
4. When the desired menu chirps are heard, release the Control button.
5. Select a Feature. Press and release the Control button the number of times corresponding to the feature
you wish to change. Then press and hold one more time to select the features.
6. Program the Feature. While holding the Control button, you can program the feature using the remote
control.
For features with only two options;
AUX
= option 1 while
AUX
= option 2.
For features with more than two options;
AUX
selects the options in ascending order, while
AUX
selects them in
descending order.
Note: Pressing AUX button resets the feature to the factory default

Are you using the AUX button to change these features?
Try using the lock or unlock button.
I assume you are getting the correct number of chirps and light flashes from the LED on the control center.

Try removing the ignition key after turning off the ignition, certain ACC/Ignition circuits are still energised until the key is completely removed from the ignition switch.
Test before boxing up.

And BTW I agree with smokeman, it's lock/arm up and unlock/disarm buttons NOT aux.
Test before boxing up.

Try disconnecting the DLPK from the system, then see if you can enter the programming.
