Hi
I installed a viper 5706v remote start and alarm on my 2005 dodge dakota and after installing I keep on getting this u1120 code. Everything works fine with the alarm and starter. I'm thinking it's because when the truck is started not all the ignition components are on and maybe I missed an ignition wire or accessory wire that I should of hooked up. Thanks for the help.

Did you power all the ignition and acc wires ?
Ignition      pink/lt. green      +      ignition harness

Second Ignition      pink      +      ignition harness

Accessory      dk. blue and pink/white      +      ignition harness

Second Accessory      pink / YELLOW (x2)      +      ignition harness
Keysense      PURPLE / tan      -      ignition harness
Also on these trucks of it has a factory alarm you will need to power keysense while remote started

Yeah I think your right. Now the other ignition wires can I splice them to the same output on the alarm? And can I do the same to the accessory ones, can they be spliced to the same output on the alarm? I went off a bulldog security diagram and it said keysense was not available on this vehicle and that's why I didnt hook that one up.

Never splice circuits together there separate for a reason. The Viper should have low current negative outputs to control relays to add more ignition and acc circuits to the remote start.
If you don't know how to wire the relay. check out the relay section on this site.
As far as key sense I believe it's only needed when the truck has a factory alarm. What will happen is the truck will start and run but while it's running the alarm will randomly go off.
Any other help don't hesitate to ask

Just wanted to give a quick update. After hooking up ALL the other ignition and accessory wires everything works great and I no longer get that engine error code.
