I installed a Nordic 5050 two way in my 2005 SX2.0 (Neon in the US) a while back and everything works as expected, but I would like to add rear defrost turn on. I'm just not sure whether to wire it on all the time, or activated by my aux2 button. The unit has a 500ma Negative output that is user activated from the remote. I can either configure it to be on for up to 15 seconds as long as the button is held, or 30 second on/off constant. So I'm not sure if I should use the hold option and build a latching circuit (so it can stay on as long as the remote start is active), or just use the 30 second constant and only run the rear defroster for short bursts.
The best method choice and any additional help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
I was trying to use the information found here:

But I'm not quite following how it is supposed to be wired. I'm guessing we're bypassing TIPM control of the rear defrost, but I want to understand the circuit before I go out and start cutting. :) Thanks folks.

I guess if I wanted it to come on any time the vehicle is remote started, the aux2 output wouldn't be the best choice.
What would you guys do? Sorry for the additional post. I just wanted to complete the thought. :)

I was thinking about it some more and it looks like i should probably just use the 500ma negative when remote started instead of aux2 so it'll come on whenever I remote start(it's mostly for winter use anyway). I'm not sure how effective the rear frost would be only being on 30 seconds per trigger.
Please help me sort out the rest of the circuit.

I'm sure this is dead simple for someone that knows what they're looking at. I'm copy and pasting this from the other thread to make it faster for someone to help me out.
Rear Window Defrost BLACK/ WHITE (+) 5 PIN CONN BACK OF REAR DEFOG SWITCH*
* Must Use Relay- High Current Output To Defrost Grid RKE ACC +12v- DK BLUE/WHITE At RKE.
I know where the RKE is but I don't quite understand what it want's me to do. Does it want +12v provided to both (obviously through a relay due to the high current nature of the rear defrost), or does it want those two connected together through a relay to engage the rear defrost? It's the wording that's getting me.
I'll be using my -500ma running when on trigger to activate the required relay(s).
Thanks in advance.
