very sensitive alarm wanted

Unusual situation.... I park my vehicle outside a very secluded large building. In a locked parking lot. There are no houses or businesses or people around for miles. I dont know a heck of a lot about alarms and I want a sensor that will go off the moment ANYONE comes near my vehicle. I have a jeep (with hardtop)with a factory alarm that I jury-rig-wired in an old DEI add-on pager module to the horn so that when the factory alarm goes off (if the hood, doors, tailgate is opened) the pager goes off to alert me. I am in the building, but not always within earshot of the horn (that is why I wired in the pager module). Like I said I want an incredibly sensitive sensor so that when ANYONE approaches my vehicle the alarm will go off. I will be using it only at my secluded location so it going off wont annoy anyone. I will wire in a switch to disable it when using the factory alarm at home or in other public places. Will a proximity sensor work? From what I have read they are designed for softtop and convertibles. My jeep has a hardtop.lldl

I would suggest a guard dog. What you want doesn't work in real world conditions. Environmental changes will cause it to false all the time. Like the story of the boy who cried wolf, no one will care about your alarm after hearing it false all the time. Lock it up inside a secure area. Proximity sensors work but can still false when set to maximum sensitivity.sparky

I don't know why I gave the answer I did, I suppose leaning away from my sarcasm in a previous incarnation. Sparkie is spot on, it's unworkable in real life. Any time a rookie posts here boasting about shock, prox tilt, glass break, I smile thinking of how long they will have to spend balancing them against each other and how many false alarms they will get.
