finally figured out where the ctm is and the wire for the alarm. however i need to know about the tach input from the pcm. this is what the sight says:
TACH SIGNAL      BLACK/ gray      At coil or PCM       AC
On the 5.9L, 3.9L the coil is located on the front of the engine, PCM is located in front of the Washer fluid reservoir. The 4.7L engine has a coil for each cylinder. Use the TAN colored wire at any of the coils and set your remote starter for 1 cylinder. (see photo
the biggest problem im having is figuring out which plug the wire is at. there are 4 plugs on this pcm:

What size engine?

Why not connect to the coil or a spark coil on the 4.7L engine?

Here is a photo of the Tach connection on a 4.7L from a 2002 Dakota ( any wire not GREEN/ Orange ) :

I saw plenty of those and that was my other thought except there were a few sites that said use the third uncommon wire even though I'm only dealing with 2. Nut this is a lot b of help. I'll have to test it.
