Are there any writeups on installing this alarm?
I do not want the Remote start . I am only interested in the alarm signaling if doors are opened etc..
just bought it off amazon and counted 41 wires... surely I dont have to hook up all of those.... thanks for any help.
Thanks!

Go to the Vehicle Wiring section on this site.
Ref the 5704, you'll only need three wires at H3, use a thinner wire instead of the pink from IGN, if you want starter cut use the green and violet.
On H2 green, blue and grey, plus BROWN / black if you're also using factory horn.

I pulled up the viper 5704 wiring diagram. would you mind pointing out exactly which wires I would be using for just the alarm. I do not want remote start. Thanks for your help. I am very good with wiring, I just don't put alarms in every day and want to seek out advice for my install this week.

Question-
I'm installing this today. What is the purpose of using a smaller gauge wire?
Thanks!

Just easier to handle, install and wire up. You don't need the heavies at H3 except green, violet (and then only if you're doing a starter cut) and pink which can be thinner (smaller gauge).

Another Question-
The shock sensor- which way do I plug it into the brain?
One end of the sensor has red, black, blue, and green (with the green wire not connected to anything)
The other end has the same colors, however the green wire is loop into the harness connector.
which end plugs into the brain, which end plugs into the shock sensor?
Thanks!
