I have a 2004 Saturn Vue. I have tested the door locks and i have +12 when i lock, and unlock the doors. Hence i believe it is a +12 volt door locking system.
The remote starter i am installing is an Autostart CT-3271.
Here are the instructions for installation.
Installation Diaphragm
As you can see the Green and Brown wires are for negative door locks. I believe the only way to do this is to do a relay to convert the negative pulse to a positive one.
Am i on the right track here?
Your help IS appreciated.

Yes, your Saturn Vue has (+) or Type A door locks so a polarity conversion is necessary.

While not completely conforming to relay conventions ( Pin 85 is typically (-) and Pin 86 is (+) ), here is a link to

the relay wiring you need to do the polarity conversion :   https://www.the12volt.com/doorlocks/page3.asp#3wp
Use the top ( 3 Wire Positive ) diagram.

You can use the standard Bosch style SPDT automotive relays or purchase a DEI 451M door lock module ( >$9 ).

Soldering is fun!

So it is the 3 wire positive door lock relay setup i was looking at. I guess i was on the right track.
But you confused me with "While not completely conforming to relay conventions ( Pin 85 is typically (-) and Pin 86 is (+)"
I should just follow the diagram i assume and it will be ok. I have done a few relays in my day so it isn't that new to me.

Yes, just follow the diagram wiring and it will work fine.  For diagram expediency they reversed the Pin 85 and 86 inputs on the left ( lock ) relay.

The most common & generally available relay is rated at 30/40 Amps and will work fine for your application.  You could get away with 10 Amp relays, if you had some available.  I use 10 Amp mini-relays for those circuits.  Either way, fuse the +12V supply input at 10 Amps.
