Greetings,
I am replacing the OEM Remote Start Module with an aftermarket FLCAN module and code-alarm remote start. Specifics of my install are shown below.
I would like to re-use as much of the OEM remote start t-harness as possible. I can trace out most of the connections with a problem (starter wires, ignition immobilizer, headlight combo switch). BUT there are a few connectors I cannot find pinouts for. I am hoping one of the generous experts here can help. When I am done I will post my DIY install with pics here.
Vehicle: 2012 CR-V EX AWD w/ OEM remote start (same wiring as 2012 Civic)
Remote Start Harness: Honda P/N 08E92-T0A-100A
I need the following pin/wire color info please...
1 connection to the OEM remote-start module…
28-pin connector that plugs into remote start module
OR...
1 connection behind driver’s A-Pillar cover…
28-pin connector behind driver’s A-Pillar where it meets dashboard
4 connections at dash fuse box…
5-pin connector at upper left of dash fuse box (heavy awg starter bundle)
4-pin fog light accessory connector on dash fuse box
8-pin connector in the center of the large middle 38-pin dash fuse box connector
24-pin connector attached to lower-right of dash fuse box
3 connectors on steering column…
7-pin ignition switch/ immobilizer connector
10-pin wiper-side of combo switch connector
12-pin headlight side of combo switch connector

Sorry - I can't edit my own posts yet. There is a typo above (should say "I can trace most connections without a problem"
Also note: the harness manual link is inserted at bottom of my post. I tried to put it at the top.
Thanks.

I tried to skim through that Honda install guide really quickly---I can just take a couple of guesses.
---The small connector at the ignition switch would have to be where Honda is connecting to CAN High and Low, and the immobilizer wire.
---The thick wires at the fuse box, you've probably already guessed, would be constant ignition, starter, heater, and radio.
---The connector behind the parking light switch would be for parking lights, and probably autolamp shutdown.
---The connector at the A-pillar is probably to the domelight, to kill the Honda remote starter when the door is opened. You wouldn't need anything there for aftermarket.
---The other connections at the fuse box......hmm. Does the Honda remote starter do anything with the locks? Like maybe lock the doors when you turn on the remote starter or something? I'd guess you might find the lock wires in one of those connectors. Probably brake too.
---Does the Honda starter beep the horn? I see a diagram where an orange wire is added to a connector at the fuse box. Honda usually uses orange for horn. So test that orange wire and see if it's a horn wire.
---Wiper switch? Does the Honda remote starter disable the wipers when it's on? If so, that's probably what it is. So you can either put that back together and be sure to leave your wipers off when parking, or test the harness for the proper wires to interrupt, and set up relay(s) to do the same.

Sorry, you can NOT post a reply.
