6th remoter starter install but 1st with D2D as the door control setup. Main problem is green flashing key unless I leave a factory key near the ignition. Reflashing the dball2 with either factory key does not change things and door locks do not function with Python remote.Shock sensor works and siren chirps with commands. System is set up install type 2 for 07 Civic Hybrid.
Dball2 arrived with no firmware, local shop flashed it today for my year car. Learning goes solid red, key on solid green, flash off briefly, green again then out 2 seconds later, key off. 1 time it would start and die 2 secs later. reflashed again now its back to not even turning over unless i put a key near the cylinder. Got to get this done before college starts on Monday. Am I using wrong flash procedure?

i believe on the dball there is a hybrid function. Youre having a flash issue, either bad dball, or you have a bad connection. Do a module reset NOT a hard reset.
try w2w, sometimes the status output through ground is glitchy. A hardwire would solve that.

Actually saw a 2006 Honda post with similar problem and hooked up the GWR wire (factory instructions say this wire is not required in D2D) from the relay pack to the dball and remote start is running smooth as silk. I did a reflash after the additional wire hookup just like in the other post.
Does not explain why no parking lights and the only time the locks respond is if I factory lock it, then arm the Python, then remote start it. I will hear the locks pulse just before it starts. I do get dome light after a shut down command.

parking lights have to be hard wired from your remote start to the car. Grey (-) @ parking light switch black plug.
you have to hardwire your door locks as well from the dball2. When the vehicle is off, the lock and unlock mimics the factory remote (ie using the can network). When the vehicle is running, the keyless system is shut off, so a physical connection is required @ the kick panel

Thanks for the reply. Everything is hardwired per the Direct-tech latest wiring diagram for Honda type 2 that was in black ink including the door locks. That was tied into the gray and green wires at the 34 pin connector behind the fuse panel. The locks would never have cycled without those connections. I will try adding some connections tonight or just go full W2W instead of D2D. Read too many complaints about D2D from Directed, should have never tried it.

Right or wrong I wired all the inputs from the Python to the Dball2 except the door locks (even though the diagram says blue diagram wires are not needed) I went direct with them from the Python but also left the Dball2 door lock wires in place. Now the D2D signals are all routed through the can bus and all monitoring is working perfectly. The Python has to interface with the Dball2 through its own monitoring circuits and the D2D takes care of the rest. Still it was less wiring then W2W.
