I had a Compustar 2 way remote starter installed in my 2009 Mazda 3. At the same time the dealer connected the rear defroster to come on via an accessory. The dealer is no longer in business and the only thing that comes on is the light.
My defroster does work when I press the button. I was told it was miss wired and that it needed to go to the fuse box.
What color wire will activate it?
The current setup is connected to a BLACK/ orange wire behind the radio.

If I remember correctly that wire is actually at the SJB behind the glove box and you will need it to Latch not pulse that wire. So depending how it was set up orginally you may have to change some programming on the system. I also assume that the wire behind the dash was negative, pretty sure the wire at the SJB was positive. I don't have my notes with me right now though.
