Dealer installed Code remote start quit working on my F150.
When you push the button it beeps twice and something under the dash clicks but it doesn't even try to start. I read somewhere that two beeps is the hood switch but I took it off and tested it. The hood switch works just fine. Anyone familiar with these?

It's either hood switch or its seeing 12v on the brake wire. Disconnect one at a time to test it will start and run with either one disconnected. The only other thing I've seen is a bad DNA chip.   Make sure you don't leave anything disconnected. Both those are there for safety.   Just for testing purpose.

Brake light switch is working and connected still too. I noticed the light is always blinking. Even when the key is in the ignition and the truck is running. Never used to do that.

I'm guessing this is the 4 button square remote ? Try disconnecting one or both of the wires mentioned see what happens. My notes are at home right now. I would have to look what else or might be. Is this a new install or existing ?
Also after disconnecting the wires check to make sure nothing is shorted (hood wire to ground) ( brake wire to12v). Both Should be open

Yeah. 4 button remote. Existing install that quit working.
I will try the brake light later. I tried the hood switch before.
