Hi guys,
Im hoping you guys could shed some light on my situation, I had a Scytek 2 way astra 4000 remote starter installed in my 2008 f 350 diesel truck last friday. When i went to pick up the truck the Emergency brake light was on on the dash, check brake system was also in the info center and my front left and right signal lights don't work anymore. i made the shop aware of the problems and they spent all day Saturday and Monday trying to resolve the issue but they have no clue what is causing it. none of this was an issue before the install of said unit, now it seems like they are avoiding me when i call and wont return my calls. They told me they googled the issue and that my batteries in the truck where dead from them having the door open for the install, so i changed the battery and it didn't fix the issue. i have tried finding the issue on google but nothing comes up. Any help would be appreciated.
thanks in advance.

I looked at a wiring diagram for the Exterior Lighting (front turn signals) for your truck. The 2008-up uses a "Smart Junction Box" to control many items in the truck. Like turn signals. It is a programmable, solid state device.
I used "2008 Ford F250 Smart Junction Box" in a Google search, and got a lot of hits. I didn't read very much, but there's a lot about it.
I'm only guessing, but if they accessed the data buss for a bypass, something got messed up in the SJB. Read up on it, maybe it can be reset by disconnecting the battery for a period of time. I don't know. Or it may have to go to the dealer for a re-flash.
The shop should make it right. They messed it up. Stuff happens and they know it, hopefully they take responsibility for it. The batteries won't go dead from leaving the doors open. The SJB will turn the dome lights off after a period of time. Even my old 99 turns them off after 10 minutes. Seems they don't really know what happened, so they're making stuff up like the "batteries went dead".
I have a sweet spot for the Super Duties. I have a 99 7.3 and intend to die still owning it. Owning a Powerstroke is like being a member of a secret cult. Unless you've owned one, you have no idea how cool they are, and how effortlessly they get work done.
Hope you get yours fixed with a minimum of hassle. From a fellow cult member.

Thanks a lot for you help davep., i appreciate it, I will definitely be researching the smart junction box. i have been basically ignored from the shop for a whole week now so i guess they arent to keen on fixing the issue. Looks like I'm going to have to get a consumer protection agency or a lawyer involved. I love my super duty man its honestly so much fun to drive, I dont think i'll ever part with it hahaha, it only has 100000km on it so it should do me for awhile. Still not the 7.3 though...I wish they never did away with those motors, Powerstrokes just arent the same without them lol. Anyways thanks again for your help, Cheers.
