I installed a Viper 5904 in my 2004 RX8, but the remote start didn't work. So I bought a $45 Valet 561T remote start module and BAM! Worked the first time I tried it. I have it connected to all the same places as the Viper remote start with no issues. So I have a slightly defective Viper brain I guess. Anyway, I hooked up the Valet's (+) activation input through a relay to the aux 1 (-) output. The only thing is, the viper remote obviously doesn't see that the car has been remote started, so I have no 2-way confirmation on the remote. Besides the heavy gauge ignition wire, what needs to be hooked up from the Viper in order to get the remote to recognize when the car is running? Below are the links for both installation guides. Thanks in advance for any help!
