Vehicle is a 2009 Escalade Base Model. I am going to install a Viper 5906 and was told its best I get the DBALL2 (which I did). Its been a loooong time since I did an install and let me know if I am wrong - it appears that the DBALL2 connects to the 5906 Alarm Module and interacts with it and then talks to the vehicle's computer to do everything a standalone alarm would do such as doors, remote start, etc. etc. Am I on the right path here?
Been an installer for over 15 years and out of it for a long time. Boy have things changed!
