Hello. I just recently bought this car. I installed my prestige alarm on it by the wiring diagram I recieved off this site. Only one problem though. It says the door trigger wire is green with red tracer. Well upon further investigation, there are five GREEN/ red wires. What is the color of the harness that it goes to? I dont have a meter or test light either. Anyt and all help will be greatly appreciated!!THX!!!

It's the one that looks like a 14 awg wire, but is mostly insulation. All the other wires are thinner.

Okay is there any other way of finding this wire without a meter? Cause the wires all look like their the same size. If you could tell me which harness it goes to that would be great. What should I do about the hatch. Will my alarm go off when the hatch is opened also?(after I find and connect the GREEN/ red wire) THX for all help!!!!!

If all the wires look the samein size you do not have the right wire. The target wire is alot bigger than the other wires. You may have to pull the carpet back to see the wire that you need

Still no luck. Can not find this much bigger wire. There isnt a noticeable diff in any of them. Pulled the carpet back and there was one and it didnt work. Can anyone tell me the color of the plug the wire goes into? This would make it cake!!

On many Hondas and Acuras, the dome wire can be found decending from the dome light coming out of the driver's A-Pillar. (sometimes decends on the passenger side also, so wouldn't hurt to drop the glover box (2 screws) and take a peek up in there too!)
This is the car body part that frames the windshield along the driver's side of the shield. If you look up under the dash where the A-piller empties into the underdash area, you may (or may not) find a two wire plug with your target wire in it.
If you cannot find this plug, your only other option is to start unplugging plugs until you dome light turns off.
If that happens, at least you have the right plug.
On the other hand, a multimeter can be procured from Shack De Radio a couple of bucks.
A highly recommended time saver.
Happy hunting.
