Hey everyone, having some issues with my 5706V. The system has been installed for a couple years now and all of a sudden it stopped receiving commands. Checked powers and ground to the brain and everything was good. The light on the antenna/menu button wont light up so I got a new one and still nothing. The brain was still under warranty, got a new one and still the same issue, it also wont communicate with my BitWriter. If you plug the brain in, sometimes the siren will chirp for half a second then nothing else. I'm starting to think this second brain I got is also no good. Any thoughts? Thanks.

You might try swapping the cable that came with the new antenna. If somehow the old cable got pinched/shorted somewhere, maybe it's preventing proper operation. If this doesn't work, you may unplug all but the main harness and try the bitwriter again. If this works, plug the harnesses back in one at a time, and retry until you've identified the problem harness.

Thanks for the reply. I already had the new antenna cable in along with a new siren I had, didn't think about trying the bit writer with just the main harness. Did that and still no go. Unless if there's some trick I don't know, this warranty brain I got must be no good.
