Hello, this is my first post and I hope you all can help.
I just installed my first remote start in to my 08 GP GXP and it seems to be working ok. HOWEVER!!!......sometimes I get some weird behavior. Every now and then when I RS the car it will start honking the horn as if the alarm was set off until I hit the disarm/unlock button on the remote. Of course doing this at 5am is not good for my relationship with neighbors. Everything works on the RS side and the keyless entry side as well.
Another symptom I am having is every now and then I get the traction control warning and then it turns off and the DIC says that the stability control needs service. If I turn off the car and restart it with the key, all is well.
I tried to narrow some variables as to when this all happens but it seems have a mind of its own and it's a phantom menace.
Any advice???

I thought maybe a loose connection somewhere????
Please help? don't want to wake the neighbors so early in the morning. LOL

Did you connect the 4103 to the GP's Keysense wire?  You can use the 4103's Blue/White 2nd Status wire, if you're not using it for the Defroster function.

Keysense     light green (required) (-)    @ ignition switch or BCM left of steering column, 52 pin plug (C1), pin 40

Note : If the service security light comes on during remote start or after key takeover, see Tech Doc 1502.

Thank you for replying.
I did not connect the Blue/white wire to the lt gn key sense. I will try that. I am curious as to what that does. If you could explain that would be great (assuming to tell the car it has a key and not to engage an unauthorized start/alarm).
If I have anymore problems after I connect that then I will post my connections in the next post.
Also, I connected the blue and green harness (4103s-door lock and unlock) to the FLCAN door lock and unlock(also green and blue). Maybe it (FLCAN-disarm only(-) brown) should have gone to the 4103 main harness(-)factory alarm disarm GREEN/ blk??? I have both of those not used.
Thanks again kreg357!!
I'll let you know the result.

I may have over-looked / presumed something in my reply.  In your post you did not specify whether you went with a

D2D or W2W connection between the bypass module and the 4103.  I assumed that you went D2D because it was
an FLCAN flashed with the FLC flavor of firmware.

Possibly some more clarification is in order.  In D2D mode ( the FLCAN module uses Directed's DBI D2D ) most of the

signals between the FLCAN and the 4103 are made via the 4 Pin D2D harness.  Those signals are all the dashed orange
lines on the Type 3 diagram.   When using the 4 Pin D2D harness, the FLCAN is set to Installation Mode = DATA, one
blink and locked in during module programming ( top of Page 8 ).

From your reply, I'm led to believe you are running in W2W mode due to your hardwire connections of Lock and Unlock.  In

this case, you won't use the D2D harness and must hardwire all the necessary connections between the FLCAN and the
4103.   I prefer going W2W.  It's more prep work but is less confusing, more logical and easier to troubleshoot in case of
problems.  In your case, using a 4103, getting the 4103 R/S into D2D mode from ESP/Bitwriter Mode might be required.
Also I have heard of problems with the 2 way signals Tach and Brake, so W2W is the easiest / safest way of getting the
system to work reliably.  So, going W2W would require making the necessary dashed orange lines plus the necessary
solid black lines.  For your application that would include :

4103 Signal FLCAN

+12V    either thick Red wire on 6 Pin plug           Red on 4 Pin Plug
Chassis Ground     H1/8 Black wire          Black on 4 Pin Plug
Status Output         Dark Blue on 4 Pin Sat. Plug Blue/White on 4 Pin Plug
Disarm        H1/1 Light GREEN/ Black          Brown on 10 Pin Plug
Trunk          H1/7 RED / White         RED / White on 10 Pin Plug
Unlock        Blue wire on 3 Pin Plug          Blue/Black on 10 Pin Plug
Lock           Green wire on 3 Pin Plug        GREEN/ Black on 10 Pin Plug
Tach           H2/2 Violet/White       PURPLE / White on 10 Pin Plug
Ignition       thick Pink on 6 Pin Plug           Pink on 7 Pin Plug

Additionally, during module programming, the Installation Mode would be set to Standard ( 2 blinks ) and locked in.  These

are the necessary / required W2W connections between the 4103 and the FLCAN.  As you know, there are many required
connections between the 4103 and the G.P., which you have already made ( IGN, ACC, Starter, Parking Lights, Brake,
Chassis Ground and the Hood Status ).  The 4103 also needs the Neutral Safety to Chassis Ground if this is an Auto Trans
( the 4103 is for Auto Trans vehicles only ).

you were correct in your assumption. I did go W2W. I was missing the two connection....the TACH- I had going to a fuel inj. instead of the FLCAN tach output....and the alarm disarm wires to both the 4103 and the FLCAN. to each other.
But I am still getting the alarm on when Remote starting.   I did do a FLCAN relearn.
the only other wire in question is the pink to pink ignition.   I currently have the thick pink ignition wire to the ignition sw. not the FLCAN pink.
I guess I can try that next.

The 4103 thick Pink IGN1 wire still goes to the G.P.'s Ignition wire but the FLCAN's Pink Ignition Input wire gets added to it.  Similar to the Red +12V input wire being added to the thick Red 4103 wire going to the cars +12V supply.
