Hi Dewayne,

Not the most basic or standard vehicle to start on but not real difficult either.

It has many ignition wires, so additional relays are required.

It might have a door lock system ( Type C, 5-wire reverse ) that will require additional relays or hardware.  Trucks with

Factory Remote Keyless Entry have Type B door locks.  Here is a good primer on door lock systems from Directed :
https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/file.asp?ID=1213  This site has great info on Door Locks, Relays, Diodes, etc at
the menu bar near the top of the screen.  The SEARCH function is very useful, too.

On trucks with Factory Remote Keyless Entry, the VSM module shuts down and needs to be awakened to allow the

after-market system to unlock the doors.  Here is a link to a ZIP file that includes the necessary Tech Tip 1094 :
https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/file.asp?ID=1077

For the remote start and door lock portion of your install, here is a link to a Pictorial on that model truck :

https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=133810

The alarm portion is not covered but you can use the Dome Light Supervision wire.  Here is a link to wire info :

http://www.readyremote.com/main.asp?make=Ford&model=F250

A bit of a learning curve for a newcomer but with some research and reading, not difficult for someone with your

background.  It might be advisable to post your proposed wiring so that forum members can review it and add
their comments and insights.

Welcome to the 12Volt,

Kreg

Don't have any info on your Viper 5605V but if it follows standard DEI conventions, the trucks (+) Dome Light Supervision wire
should be connected to a VIOLET wire labeled as (+) DOOR INPUT.

Strange.  Does the Viper alarm set OK?

Anything connected to this Viper wire?  GREEN (-) DOOR INPUT

Guess your should connect a DMM to this wire and verify that it is indeed the Dome Light Supervision wire.
